Process optimization
The aviation process at and around Schiphol airport consists of a sequence of steps. Whether it be with regard to a passenger, cargo or an aircraft, in each case various operations take place at Schiphol airport.
By analysing these operations and processes, SIM investigates whether the logistical processes can be improved and optimised through the introduction of innovative changes, as a result of which better use can be made of the capacity of the airport. It is important to have a consistent and clear image of the chain and the most important steps in it, in order to be able to implement improvements.
Studies and projects which focus on optimising this process are carried out within the context of this theme.
